Managing Partner – Keith McDonald
Keith has been in the hospitality business for 25 years, and took on the title of General Manager of The Galley Patio & Grill in 2000. Prior to taking the reigns at The Galley, Keith spent over a decade learning the restaurant trade in high volume kitchens in both BC and Ontario.
Assistant Manager – Ken Baker
Big Ken got his start scrubbing pots & pans back in high school, and did a tour of duty on the UBC gridiron during his University years. Ken has over 15 years experience in the Vancouver restaurant scene, and joined The Galley in 2012, quickly establishing himself as an integral team leader.
Chef – Karl Gregg
Karl studied in the culinary program at VCC and went on to management positions at Spectra Hospitality Group and Milestones. Then honing his craft in kitchens throughout Vancouver, also consulting chefs on other projects in the Lower Mainland and British Columbia.
Karl also established a reputation for outstanding catering and consulting on all facets of food services management from menu development to sourcing, staffing and quality, and cost control. Karl has catered everything from intimate in-home dinners to 9000 meals at the Juno awards.
The Team, & their T-shirtsEvery summer since 1989, The Galley Patio & Grill has transformed a group of seasoned restaurant veterans, backpacking world travellers, and eager high school kids making their initial foray into the workforce, into a hard working team capable of meeting the demands of one of the busiest summer patio’s in Vancouver.Each year, The Galley Patio & Grill unveils a t-shirt of a unique and original design, for use as their staff uniform. These shirts are particularly popular with our tourist customers, and have been spotted as far away as Brazil!
