Payment – A 50% deposit is required to secure your function. This deposit is non-refundable for functions cancelled 14 days or less prior to the function date. We require a credit card imprint prior to the commencement of the function. The invoice balance will be charged to your valid credit card.

Minimum charges – The minimum charge for a catered event is $1000.00. At our discretion, we may provide catering that does not meet the minimum, however extra charges may apply. Evening events held between June 15th and September 15th, are subject to a minimum charge of $5000.00 on weekdays and $6500.00 on weekends. Events that finish before 4 p.m. on weekdays are not subject to this minimum. All minimum charges are exclusive of taxes, gratuitiesand room charges.

Payment method – We accept cash, company cheque only, debit card and Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Diners Club. Debit card and credit card payments, must be made in person at The Galley Patio & Grill. Overdue accounts – Accounts not settled promptly are subject to interest charges and will be referred to an outside company for collection.

Numbers – Final guaranteed numbers of guests for your function are required at least 72 hours prior to the event and, you will be charged for the guaranteed number. Larger numbers of guests than guaranteed may not be accommodated. No function will take place without a confirmed number of guests. The client must guarantee all numbers.

Children – Children under 12 years, will be charged 50% of the full cost. There is no charge for children under 2 years. A maximum discount of 10% will apply for the total meals for children.

Minimum number of guests and staffing – Menu costs are based on a minimum number of 50 guests. Smaller functions will be subject to labour charges. Charges for extra services: wait staff @ $18.00/hr, bartenders @ $22.00/hr, and additional chefs @ $25.00/hr. A minimum of 4 hours will be charged for each Galley Patio & Grill staff member. Our staff is prepared to work 8-hour shifts. Functions extending beyond 8 hours will be subject to overtime charges. (Rates available on request)

Serving liquor – The Galley Patio & Grill operates under a ‘Food Primary’ liquor license. We will only cater functions at which at least 50% of the expenditure is on food. We will not cater speculative functions. Our license allows us to serve beer, wine and cider only, until 12:00am. Our license does not allow guests to supply their own alcohol. Items left overnight – We are not responsible for any items stored or left behind after your function. We strongly suggest removal of all valuables immediately following your function.

Coats – A coat rack can be provided for your guests. If you wish a secure coat check, the charge is $100.00 per function.

Linen – We supply high quality, disposable tablecloths and napkins at no charge. We are unable to include linen costs in our catering prices. If you wish linen tablecloths, a $2.00 charge per guest will apply. If you wish linen napkins, a $1.00 charge per guest will apply.

Rental Charges – Basic operational equipment required for your function, with the exception of linen, is included in your function quote. If additional equipment is required, extra charges will apply.

Cakes and Desserts – Should you wish to bring a cake or other dessert from another source; a $1.95 pp. cake cutting or service fee will apply. We must approve the supplier in advance.

Special Menu Requests – We are happy to oblige your guests who may have special dietary requirements. A minimum of two weeks notice is required, with additional charges applicable. Should you require a wine that is not a stock item, we would be happy to order it for you. Our standard additional charge will apply. You will be responsible for the costs of the entire specialty item, purchased for your function.

Intoxicated Guests –Please advise all guests, The Galley requires two pieces of photo ID if individuals appear to be younger than 25 years of age. Any minor attempting to obtain alcohol, or anybody attempting to obtain alcohol for a minor, will be asked to immediately leave the premises. Should they refuse; the bar will be closed until they leave the premises. You will forfeit any deposit for your event.

Gratuities – A 15% gratuity is added to all functions. Taxes – All functions are subject to provincial and federal taxes, where applicable. Parking – Jericho Beach is patrolled nightly. Parking is prohibited after 1 a.m. unless prior arrangements are made with Buster’s Towing. Contact Jericho Sailing Centre’s main office for more information. We cannot accept responsibility for towed vehicles. Inform your guests of the parking options, or suggest taxis as an alternative transportation option.
